I love animals. I had a dog back in India and I am still in the process of convincing my parents to get us a dog here in Canada. There is a common cliche floating around that goes something like “Love knows no boundaries.” Well, a woman in India, Bimbala Das, might have just taken that too literally.
Bimbala claims to have fallen in love with, get this, a snake, a cobra to be precise. The snake lives in an ant hill. When Bimbala was sick she fed the snake and her sickness got cured; coincidence? religious innuendo? or the magic of love??
The wedding was performed by some priests in close proximity to the ant hill. The villagers and the parents of the Orissan girl are throwing her a big celebration and feast to celebrate their daughters marriage. Unfortunately, the snake could not make it out for his big day so they instead married her to a brass replica of the snake. Her parents are building her a hut so she can live right by the cobra’s hill.
I wish them both a long, happy, prosperous and healthy life together…
K, so I just wanted to be the first to post something… so here it goes.
That snake wedding is freakishly disturbing, shouldn’t there be limits to who/ or I guess in this case what you can marry?
Oh silly Indians… ha JK man, I know you aren’t all crazy, and I’m sure you can find just as many insane German stories… actually you prolly can’t.
Ha
Anyways, you now have a comment!
